Associate Professor Dr. Apichat Sopadang, Dean of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University, together with Professor Dr. Puangrat Kaewlom, Associate Dean, welcomed Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited, led by Mr. Chalermphop Kaenchan, Executive Director, along with the management team, and Sri Trang Rubber and Plantation Co., Ltd., represented by Mr. Witawat Krungtanmuang, Head of Cash Crop Department.
The delegation met with Professor Dr. Charin Techapun, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, to discuss academic collaboration and joint initiatives under the “Sustainable Beyond Net Zero Program”, which is integrated into MIdS CMU’s curriculum, research, and academic services. The meeting took place at the M.L. Pin Malakul Reception Room, University Office Building 1, Chiang Mai University. . The group also visited Hug Rong Khum Organic Farm in San Pa Tong District, Chiang Mai, to engage with local farmers, followed by a study visit to Energy Research and Development Institute-Nakornping,Chiang Mai University (ERDI-CMU), where they explored waste management systems and the Integrated Biomass Management Center on August 25, 2025.
